Google at the first time built by two college students of Standford University, Lary Page dan Sergey Brin as the founders, then develop in fast blossom only in short period relatively. All this attainment has also because of Dr. Eric E. Schmidt’s work, which nominated person as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Google business. Eric Schmidt is one of the prime mover of Google besides both of founders. Before occupied as Google’s CEO, Eric Schmidt had joined with Google Council Management for 5 months as a chairman.

This 52 years old man began his education at Yorktown High School (Virginia). Finished from Yorktown High School, Eric Schmidt continued his education to rach Bachelor of Science degree at Electrical Engineering di Princeton University. In year of 1979, Schmidt got their Master degree in Electrical Engineering and then continued with Ph.D. degree in Computer Science in 1982 from University of California, Berkeley. Schmidt also joined in the produce of lex, which a lexical parser and an important instrument of compiler construction. Moreover, he had been part time teaching in Standford Business School as a professor.

In the beginning of his career, Schmidt start at several technical position at some ICT companies such as Bell Lab, Zilog, and Xerox Laboratorium of Computer in Palo Alto Research Center (PARC). In 1983, Schmidt joined with Sun Microsystems to lead the making of Java project, but in short time then his career rise up to Chief Technology Officer (CTO). After that, in 1997, Schmidt nominated as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Sun Microsystems.

During 14 years of his period in Sun Microsystems, which occupied as several executive post, Schmidt had international confession over his contribution to Internet development as a medium to develop digital societies in business, government, education, science and culture. He became the medium to development and elaboration of Java, stand alone language platform programming to the market, which Sun Microsystem owned.

Schmidt left Novell after the acquitted of Cambridge Technology Partners. Both Google’s founders, Lary Page dan Sergey Brin recruit Schmidt to operate the business in March 2001. In Google, Schmidt sharing control and responsibility with Lary Page dan Sergey Brin in order to daily operated this giant internet corporation.

Today, the name of Eric E. Schmidt include in the list of most influence person in the Internet business. Moreover, in 2007 PC World raise to the purple Eric E. Schmidt as the first person in ?50 Most Important People on the Web?, besides of the Google founders, Lary Page dan Sergey Brin.
